Adamawa villagers today killed 70 Boko Haram men searching for food

According to a report by Sahara Reporters, no fewer than 70 members of Boko Haram were killed today May 16th by members of a vigilante group in the Madagali town of Adamawa state and captured seven alive who they handed over to the police.

The vigilantes reportedly acted after they were tipped off by a local food vendor that the militants were coming to get food before heading out for a major operation to raid villages in the area, usually carried out at night.

With this information, the vigilantes mobilized, laid ambush and patiently waited for the men of the sect. The men, numbering about 100, showed up later at night to pick up their meal and that was when the vigilantes attacked them, killing most and arresting the ones that survived the assault. Continue...

Today's attack is reportedly the second time this week that local vigilantes have defeated Boko Haram men. A security source told SaharaReporters that resident in many remote areas in the North seem to have decided that the best way to repel incessant attacks by Boko Haram insurgents was to take matters into their own hands.

A vigilante member involved in today's ambush told a Sahara Reporters correspondent that Nigerian soldiers appear unable or unwilling to wage an effective war against the insurgents.
"They (soldiers) seem to be helpless and to fear the Boko Haram warriors who terrorize us here. But we are not afraid. They are men like us. And we are tired of folding up our hands and allowing them to kill us, to kill our wives and to kill our children."

Tracing back in the days when I was still struggling to make it right when me and my girlfriend were away from each other, Every second of my days without her always seems endless …I know you are eventually reading this post because you are involved or planning to go into it. If not, it could help someone you know around you or your friends who might be keeping a long distance relationship too. However, kindly go through my own points below and also share to your friend. I have provided few solid ways to sustain a long-distance relationship. Kindly drop your own views in addition to this tips as a comment below. Enjoy!

Long Distance Relationships

1.Discuss how you, as a couple, are going to approach being separated for long periods. Listen to each other. This might avoid conflict later.
2.Exchange daily routines and schedules. This avoids rounds of phone tag or cell phones ringing at inopportune times.
3.Draw up a weekly schedule for special communication time. For example, every week around the same time, the couple will meet for a video chat, or maybe there is a nightly goodnight phone call. Be realistic and don't expect to stick too strictly to a schedule. It is merely a guide to help keep you on track.
4.Agree to write weekly or monthly letters or emails that recap the happenings that were forgotten or overlooked.
5.Mail your mate a box with thoughtful trinkets and forget-me-nots. Things such as photos, cards or love letters tell the other person you are thinking of her.
6.Send unexpected e-cards (electronic greeting cards available online, many for free) just to say hi or that you are thinking of him. A light-hearted e-card lightens the mood after a spat.
7.Add an element of excitement to your relationship. Surprise your loved one by planning a secret rendezvous. Make your scheduled time together special by changing the atmosphere. Meet somewhere between your respective cities to spend a full day or weekend together.
*ABOVE ALL!Be honest about your true thoughts and feelings; So that you don't hurt your love. Do not be afraid to express fear or doubt. Always realize that you cannot know what your partner is doing every minute of every day; So don't disturb your humble mind with different thoughts. Trust one another truthfully and be loyal to each other.
